Martín Keown said Arsenal had been linked with Vinícius Jr., describing it as evidence that the club is competing for the world’s best players, while acknowledging the move did not happen.
Martín Keown, Arsenal: “You know, I think the sign of Arsenal’s success is that they can be linked with Vinícius Jr. Okay, it didn’t happen, but it shows the strides Arsenal are making. If you’re going to join the Arsenal squad, you have to be a top-level player, and both players are. Whether that happens or any of those deals go through, it really doesn’t matter at this point. What matters is that Arsenal are competing for the best players in the world.”
